I have a question about stretching the paper is that necessary?

I’m sorry I should have worded that question better! My question is do you have to stretch your paper or is that old school? Or is it for certain paper weights?
    Thanks Trish

Good question. I don’t, but I use higher quality papers and I don’t flood them with gallons of water. With cheaper, student-grade paper, I will stretch it.
    300lb: nah.
140lb: it’s your call. Definitely tape 140lb paper down or it will warp on you, especially if you use a lot of water.
