Why not draw direct on the mixed media board or mixed media paper?

    Hi Bern,

You absolutely can draw directly onto the mixed media surface! I like to work out my drawing on sketch paper first because I tend to make lots of changes and corrections in the initial stages. So if I worked directly on my final mixed media surface, I’d probably have areas with light graphite “stains” where I had drawn, redrawn, and erased (sometimes it’s difficult to completely erase back to the pure white of the paper/board.) But if you prefer to work directly on the final surface, go for it- it’s really just personal preference!
